Village of Bartlett
Home MenuParkway Tree Replacement Program
Through its long-running Parkway Tree Program, the Village of Bartlett has planted trees with the help of homeowners in an effort to reforest and diversify Bartlett’s parkways. This program provides the opportunity for residents to select and purchase a parkway tree, with the Village sharing 50 percent of the cost.
All trees available for order are 2 inches in diameter. The cost, for residents, is $100 per tree. This price includes tree planting, a one-time mulching, and a one-year warranty. Limited quantities of each species are available, and all orders are filled on a first-come, first served basis.
You are only eligible to purchase a tree if your property has an available planting space, as found on the interactive tree map. Planting is only done in the parkway, not on private property, and must be spaced 30 to 40 feet from other trees. Other restrictions, such as proximity to driveways, intersections, streetlights, hydrants, underground utilities, etc. may occur. Final planting locations will be determined by the Village.
The ordering period for Fall 2024 has ended. Please return to this page in late February for information on the spring planting season.
Keep your tree alive by following this tree care guide.

The Village does allow homeowners to plant trees in the parkway themselves. However, a permit must be filled out and approved by the Village arborist. The tree must be planted by a licensed contractor, and the homeowner is responsible for the entire cost of the tree and installation; there is no cost sharing with the Village. The permit can be found below.
