Welcome to Downtown Bartlett
Like many communities, Bartlett's downtown is the heart of the community. Village Hall, a Metra commuter station, the Chamber of Commerce, the Bartlett Center for the Arts, the U.S. Post Office, the Bartlett Depot Museum and a unique variety of dining, shopping and personal service businesses are all located in a walkable, safe environment where the Village first began more than 125 years ago. |
The Shoppes of Banbury Fair is the 30-plus-year anchor of the downtown business district, featuring a wide variety of products and services. It carries women's clothing and accessories, baby gifts and home decor, and offers numerous classes and events throughout the year. Other downtown retailers include Ace Hardware, CVS Pharmacy, Spin Doctor Cyclewerks, Book Lady's Book Attic and another long-time anchor, the Bartlett Coin Shop. Eating and drinking establishments abound throughout the downtown and include venues suiting a variety of tastes, including TL's Four Seasons (Chinese and Japanese cuisine), JC's Mexican Restaurant, O'Hare's Pub and Restaurant, Pasta Mia, the Still, 2 Toots Train Whistle Grill and several others.Click here and continue to Interactive Quick Maps to see the map of restaurants in downtown and throughout the Village. |
Many of Bartlett's community-wide events are held in the downtown area. The Bartlett Lions Day Dash, Arts in Bartlett's Global Arts Festival, Bartlett's well-known Fourth of July parade, National Night Out, Heritage Days and the holiday tree lighting all bring thousands of residents to the downtown during the year. |
With the support of the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA), the Village completed a downtown Transit-Oriented-Development (TOD) Plan to help shape the physical and economic future of downtown Bartlett. The Economic Development staff works closely with property owners, landlords and brokers to bring new businesses into the downtown. Contact Tony Fradin, Economic Development Coordinator, 630-540-5937, for more information about available space or how to open your business in downtown Bartlett. |
