Parking is prohibited on any Village street between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Overnight parking permission requests are limited to three (3) nights per calendar month and must be submitted prior to 2 a.m. of the day requested to avoid a citation. All vehicles receiving permission MUST otherwise be parked legally.

Parking of any commercial vehicle, vehicle for hire, machinery, non-motorized recreational vehicles, unattached trailers, boats (whether on a trailer or otherwise), any camper not mounted on a vehicle, and any motor home or mini-motor home of any length on the public way within the Village of Bartlett is prohibited. The only exception is for a motor home or trailer attached to a tow vehicle, which may be parked in an otherwise legal manner on the public way for a period not to exceed twenty four (24) hours for the purpose of loading or unloading.

Parking is also prohibited within 12 hours after a snowfall of two (2) inches or more has occurred.

How to Request Overnight Parking and/or Vacation Watch:

The Bartlett Police Department now offers residents the convenient option to request overnight parking and vacation watches online at www.frontlinepss.com/bartlett. Simply click the submit button and enter your information into Frontline Public Safety Solutions. Residents may still request overnight parking and vacation watches by calling the police non-emergency number, 630-837-0846 or  complete the Vacation Watch form and return it to the Police Department Records Section.

Please be aware that the Police Department Vacation Watch house checks are considered only when the home is vacant for a minimum of three days, and a maximum of two weeks per watch. If someone is staying at the premises in the homeowner’s absence, a vacation watch will not be granted. In addition, apartment buildings, condominiums, and houses that are for sale are not eligible for the Vacation Watch program.

A homeowner can request a maximum of one month total of vacation watches per calendar year at a residence. Vacation Watch requests that exceed more than one month total during a calendar year will be denied.

Submitting this request does not remove your responsibility as a homeowner from making every attempt to protect your property while you are away (securing doors/windows, lights on timers, stopping mail/newspaper service, etc.). Also, keep in mind that the Bartlett Police Department will make every effort to check your property, but only as priority calls or call volume allows.
