Village of Bartlett
Home MenuBartlett Community Garden
The Village of Bartlett is providing gardeners with the opportunity to participate in a community garden experience and enjoy a common space, where they can share a hobby with fellow community members.
This idea for a Bartlett Community garden started in early 2023, at the village’s strategic planning meeting. The 2024 planting season will be the inaugural year for the Bartlett Community Garden, which is located at Koehler Field.
Midwest Compost generously donated 38 yards of compost, which was tilled into the garden. The Village of Bartlett will prepare the garden plots for planting, identify each plot with a number and make water accessible to gardeners. Most plots measure 4 feet by 12 feet with some raised beds available for seniors age 65-plus and those who need an accommodation for accessibility purposes. All beds will be rented out for a nominal fee on a first come, first served basis. Gardening is permitted between dawn and dusk during the gardening season.
