The Village of Bartlett has been working with residents and other agencies to address the erosion along “Country Creek." As a part of this effort, the village has partnered with contractor Baxter & Woodman and the Bartlett Park District to perform streambank stabilization and native planting restoration along the creek from Francine heading southeast towards Stearns Road, adjacent to the park and soccer fields in this area. This work will happen in phases each year along the park district and village properties heading towards Stearns.

The village was also notified by homeowners along the creek of severe erosion adjacent to their homes. Consulting firm Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick (HLR) has been hired to look into the issue and see what can be done to remedy the erosion.
