More than 1,000 hand-carved pumpkins—some as large as 150 pounds—will light up the night at the Chicago Botanic Garden. Night of 1,000 Jack-o’-Lanterns is the only event of its kind in the Chicago area. The Bartlett Park District bus will depart Bartlett Community Center at 6 p.m. and return at 9 p.m. Food and drink is available for purchase at Chicago Botanic Garden. Open to adults. Fee of $60 regular or $50 resident includes ransportation and admission. Registration deadline 10/11 or until filled.
