Swimming can be a fun family activity and exciting no matter your age. Swimming and being around the water also means you must pay attention and make sure you are aware while participating. Drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional injury-related death for ages 1 to 14. Teaching children to swim is a vital skill for drowning prevention and overall safety around water wherever it might be. Bartlett Park District invites you to come out and pledge your commitment to safe swimming and receive a certificate along with a free “safety pledge” towel.
This awareness initiative is a collaboration between the Bartlett Park District and the Pauly D Foundation to promote water safety and encourage swim lessons for all ages. This program includes an entertaining presentation and free entry to Bartlett Aquatic Center/Splash Central will be awarded for a later date. Participants must attend the entire presentation to receive perks.
