Clean out your basement, closets and drawers, then bring your old eyeglasses, American flags, crayons, winter coats and personal documents for shredding to Bartlett Village Hall, 228 S. Main Street.
Crayons
Monday, 6/11 thru Friday, 6/15 - 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, 6/16 from 9 a.m. to noon
Crayons will be donated to SCARCE, where volunteers peel, sort and melt them to make “Super Crayons” for children with special needs.
American Flags and Eyeglasses
Monday, 6/11 thru Friday, 6/15 - 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, 6/16 from 9 a.m. to noon
The Village will collect worn American flags for proper disposal and used eyewear, which will be given to the Bartlett Lions Club.
Winter Coats
Monday, 6/11 thru Friday, 6/15 - 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, 6/16 from 9 a.m. to noon
Your gently used winter coats will be given a second life when they are donated to help keep northern Illinois residents warm this winter! Coats will be donated to the local Salvation Army.
Document Shredding
Saturday, 6/16 ONLY, from 9 a.m. to noon
The Village will host a shredder truck to allow residents the opportunity to discard important documents in a secure manner. This program is for residents only and NOT commercial businesses. This event will be held on East Bartlett Avenue, near the water tower.
