Join Bartlett Park District to learn how to tap maple trees and turn the sap into maple syrup. You will also learn about the history of tree tapping, weather conditions needed to get the sap and how to transform raw sap into delicious maple syrup. Over breakfast, you will get to compare homemade maple syrup to store bought syrup. Dress for the weather, participants will be taken on a hike. Register early, space is limited. Choose from two times -- 10 a.m. to noon or 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. This program must meet a minimum of 15 participants by the Wednesday before at noon to run.
Open to ages 2 and older with a participating adult.
