Russ Devereaux is a slam poet and playwright who creates stories of social justice and personal trial incorporating drama, humor and wit. A familiar name around Bartlett, he is best known here for directing the world premiere of two of his 2012 plays, “AutoSave” and “Heaven," produced by Arts in Bartlett’s Adult Theatre and for performing his poetry at the Bartlett Nature Center.
Devereaux returns to Bartlett to perform his poetry at this $5 Friday event at Arts in Bartlett’s Center for the Arts. Snacks and drinks will be served and the event is open to the public.
A resident of St. Charles, Devereaux, the self-proclaimed “Tailgate Prophet” has dedicated his adult life to writing and speaking about the intangible abilities everyone has locked inside.
