“Over There, Over Here: Bartlett and the Great War,” is the new exhibit opening November 7 at the Bartlett Depot Museum. It conveys the World War I heroics of Bartlett’s 19 Yanks and the homefront efforts of Village residents through images, letters and artifacts. The Depot was the point of departure and return for area servicemen as they began and ended their service to the country.
An opening reception for the new exhibit will be held Tuesday, 11/7 from noon to 7:30 p.m. During this time visitors will be able to craft a remembrance poppy and write a note of thanks to veterans. Light refreshments will be served. No registration is required for this free all ages event.
Drop in anytime during the scheduled reception or after 11/7, during regular Depot Museum hours (Tuesday and Thursday, noon to 5 p.m. and the first and third Saturday of the month, 9 a.m. to noon) to learn about Bartlett’s contributions to the war effort.
