Bartlett Heritage Days, September 11 through 13, is the 6th annual community-wide fall festival designed to honor and celebrate the Village’s rich history. Visit www.bartlettheritagedays.com for the most up-to-date schedule and information.
Some of the new Saturday events this year are:
* a kick-off parade from W. Bartlett Ave. to Bartlett Park
* campground by the Federal 1st Brigade, Illinois Volunteers of Civil War reenactors in Bartlett Park
* appearance by the 144th Army Band of the Illinois National Guard
* cos-play party and costume contest, noon to 4 p.m. Eternal Relic Games, 118 W. Bartlett
* the Hanover Township food pantry trailer will be accepting donations all weekend
Returning highlights of this year’s festival include:
• music & fashion show at Banbury Fair, Friday, 7 p.m.
• free with Heritage Days button -- old-fashioned trolley rides, with tours of historically significant homes and buildings, narrated by local docents provided by the Bartlett Historical Society
• crafts & jewelry row on Oak Street, Saturday & Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• flea market along Bartlett Avenue, north of the train tracks, Saturday & Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• children’s art activity by Color My World Art Studio, outside Arts in Bartlett, 215 S. Main St., Saturday & Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• decorate a kite contest by Arts in Bartlett; bring entries to the AT&T Park, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• animal show by Bartlett Nature Center at Bartlett Park, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• DuPage Valley Settlers campground, Saturday
• classic car show on Bartlett Avenue, north of the train tracks, Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• “Living Out Loud” teen band at Derango Family Dental; games & snacks benefit Juvenile Diabetes
• open house & root beer floats at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Saturday & Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.
• Bartlett’s Antique Road Show at Arts in Bartlett, 215 S. Main St., Sunday, 1 to 3 p.m.
