The Doughboys were the men the U.S. sent to fight in France during the "Great War." Nineteen of them were from Bartlett.
To commemorate the centennial anniversary of World War I, Bartlett History Museum presents “Remembering the War to End All Wars."

Bartlett’s own living history reenactors J. Perkins and Amy Cawley will discuss the experiences of everyday participants in the Great War and artifacts from this conflict will be on display. Perkins and Cawley serve as a volunteer researcher and volunteer docent, respectively, at the First Division Museum at Cantigny.

The program, suitable for high school age and older, begins at 7 p.m., with the doors opening at 6:30 p.m. for refreshments. Registration is required for this free event. Please call 630-837-0800, ext. 5972 or email emarston@vbartlett.org with the number of attendees and your phone number.

Coming this fall to the Bartlett Depot Museum, “Over There, Over Here, Bartlett and the Great War,” an exhibit that will highlight Bartlett’s servicemen and homefront efforts during World War I.
