This year Bartlett Police Department is kicking off its National Night Out 2015 schedule of events with a Blood Drive.
Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment by visiting www.heartlandbc.org and clicking on the "New Donor Portal and Online Scheduling System" button located on the lower right side of the webpage or by contacting Heartland Blood Centers' representative Therese Frawley, 630-723-2565. Walk-in appointments are also available to donors who are not able to schedule an appointment in advance.
Potential blood donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, be symptom-free of cold, flu and allergies and be in general good health. The donation process takes about an hour from start to finish and includes a registration, a health history survey, a blood pressure check and an iron level check.
