Arts in Bartlett celebrates its 15th year with a new Global Arts Festival in Bartlett Park. After 14 years of presenting a juried fine arts festival, the all-volunteer organization has reinvented its annual event to celebrate the many diverse cultures in the Bartlett community.
Volunteers carrying 20 national flags in a parade around the park will open the festival. The award winning Mexican dance group, Ballet Folklorico Huchuecoyotl, headlines the two days of performances. Other entertainment, activities and arts/crafts booths will represent India, China, Taiwan, Philippines, Mexico, South Korea, Turkey, Ireland, Poland and various South American, eastern European and Middle East countries. Food vendors will offer a variety of international cuisines. Attendees can participate in yoga, martial arts, drumming, line dancing and other forms of dance. The gazebo will contain a Family Global Story Circle with Color My World Arts Academy.
