Spend the week cleaning out your basement, closets and drawers, and then bring your old cell phones, American flags, eyeglasses, prom dresses, crayons and personal documents for shredding to Bartlett Village Hall, 228 S. Main Street.
Cell Phones & Crayons
Monday, 6/12 thru Friday, 6/16 - 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, 6/17 from 9 a.m. to noon
The cell phones will be donated to Cell Phones for Soldiers, which provides free calling minutes to military personnel overseas. Crayons will be donated to SCARCE, where volunteers peel, sort and melt them to make “Super Crayons” for children with special needs.
American Flags and Eyeglasses
Monday, 6/12 thru Friday, 6/16 - 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, 6/17 from 9 a.m. to noon
The Village will collect worn American flags, for proper disposal, and used eyewear, which will be given to the Bartlett Lions Club.
Prom Dresses
Monday, 6/12 thru Friday, 6/16 - 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, 6/17 from 9 a.m. to noon
Your gently used prom dresses will be given a second life when they are donated to help young high school women throughout the area attend their proms in style.
Document Shredding
Saturday, 6/17 from 9 a.m. to noon
The Village will host a shredder truck to allow residents the opportunity to discard important documents in a secure manner. This program is for residents only and NOT commercial businesses. This event will be held in the Village Hall parking lot.
