Stranger Danger: Self Defense for Kids

  • Date: 05/08/2017 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Location: Bartlett Park District
    Bartlett, Illinois 60103

What would your child do if an adult approached him/her at the bus stop and said, “Your mother was in a bad car accident and she asked me to bring you to the hospital?" This is just one of the many lures that child predators use to trick children. This interactive seminar will teach children and parents awareness issues that will help protect against child abductions; such as, what are the top five predator lures identified by the FBI, how do predators get personal information about your family, is it OK to say “No” to an adult, and much more.

This seminar will also teach worst case scenario self-defense, which teaches children how they can get away from an adult abductor or how to enlist the help of other adults who may be near. This very informative and practical class is for parent and child and will be taught in a safe family environment. Just for fun—all children attending will be able to break a board at the end of the seminar. $5 per child. You must register with Bartlett Park District.
