Since 1970, Earth Day has been celebrated in the United States each year on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection and promotion of harmony with nature. As in the past, the Village of Bartlett and the Bartlett Park District are hosting a Community Cleanup Day on Saturday, 4/22 from 9 a.m. to noon. Coordinate your business, neighborhood, civic group or family for this event or join individually. Call Scott Skrycki, 630-837-0800, for more information or to sign up for this event.
After the cleanup, head to Bartlett Nature Center, 2054 W. Stearns Road, where Bartlett Park District is hosting its free, annual Earth Day event, noon to 4 p.m. Hands-on activities, wildlife demos, exhibits and much more.
