The Village of Bartlett will again be the site for the Northeastern Illinois Special Olympic Winter Sports Games. The games will be on Sunday, January 8, at Bartlett Hills Golf Course. Opening ceremonies will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by cross-country skiing and snow shoe competition for various age groups and skill levels. The games include short-distance sprints as well as events that cover 500-meter and 1-kilometer courses.
The Village is proud to welcome these athletes to Bartlett Hills for another consecutive year and, as in the past, everyone in the community is invited to participate. Volunteers will time the races, distribute the ribbons and cheer on and congratulate the participants. If you are enthusiastic and would enjoy an afternoon of winter sports and fun competition, you are needed at the Bartlett Games.
