The Village with SCARCE, a nonprofit organization committed to keeping “stuff” out of the landfill by reusing or recycling, will be accepting pumpkins for composting. Pumpkins can be painted, but should not include candles, yarn, stickers, googly eyes, plastic ears, glitter, etc. The collection will be in the Bartlett Village Hall employee parking lot. Please enter from Main Street and exit onto Oak Avenue.

Composting not only keeps the used pumpkins out of the landfill, it helps the environment by putting key nutrients and water back into the soil. Last year 26.5 tons of pumpkins were collected for composting.
