All God’s Children Preschool & Pre-K invites all present and former students, families, staff and friends to a celebration on Friday, May 20, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The open house is the preschool’s farewell to the community as it closes the book on more than 20 years of educating young children in a safe and caring Christian environment.
Over the past several years, the school struggled to maintain enrollment. Earlier this year, the Church determined it could not sustain the preschool’s operations and announced that the school would close at the end of the current school year.
Founded in 1995, the preschool is a ministry of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Bartlett. The preschool continued a tradition of more than 40 years of early childhood education in the Church’s Educational Building. In the 1970s, the YWCA Tiny Tots and School District U46 Kindergarten programs used the Church’s classrooms. For the past two decades, All God’s Children Preschool has positively impacted the lives of countless families and children from Bartlett and surrounding communities.
