The Tri-Village Garden Club of Bartlett, Hanover Park and Streamwood meets at 7 p.m. at the Poplar Creek Public Library in Streamwood, on the third Wednesday of the month. At the March meeting, horticulturist Glenn Grosch will talk about hydrangeas.

Grosch has been on the Chicago Botanic Garden teaching staff since 1997 and has been offering programs through the Garden Clubs of Illinois since 1999. Hydrangeas is a colorful and fact-filled presentation on successfully growing hydrangeas in the Chicago area. Each of six species will be covered as to hardiness, light requirements, and moisture needs. The issues of how to prune for flower display, and how to manage the blue/pink will be discussed in clear detail.
