Arts in Bartlett presents a Woodwind Clinic and Masterclass with Wayne Richards for high school students participating in the IHSA Solo and Ensemble Contest in March. Richards has been a professional performer, soloist, clinician and teacher of saxophone and woodwinds in this area for more than 30 years. He will open his woodwind studio in March at the Arts in Bartlett Center for the Arts.
The clinic will offer tips on stage performance and what judges are looking for, and students may perform their piece as a “dress rehearsal” in a Masterclass setting. The fee is $10 for soloists or ensembles, which can be paid on the ticket page of artsinbartlett.org or at the door. Registration in advance is required. Students should register by emailing wayneerichard@comcast.net with their name or name of the ensemble, school, grade level, instrument, and title of the piece they will be playing. For more information, contact Art@artsinbartlett.org or call 630-372-4152.
