Arts in Bartlett hosts flutist Scott Metlicka for “An Evening of Impressionistic French Flute Music,” followed by a wine and cheese reception. The program will include selections from French composers Paul Taffanel, Jacques Ibert, Claude Debussy and Francois Borne. Metlicka is a member of the Elgin, Rockford and South Bend Symphonies and principal flutist for the Wisconsin Philharmonic and Milwaukee’s Skylight Theater. He teaches flute at Elgin Community College. He will be accompanied by Constance Hughes on the piano. She has appeared in several recitals with Metlicka and other members of the Rockford and Elgin Symphony Orchestras. She is sought-after as a chamber musician and a member of the Elgin Community College music faculty.
