She might be the most famous doll in the world. For more than 60 years, Barbie has been played with, analyzed, collected, criticized and loved.
Join the Bartlett History Museum on Wednesday, 4/10, for an illustrated lecture presented by historian Leslie Goddard. She will delve into the history of Barbie and her inventor, the passionately creative - and intensely competitive -- Ruth Handler.
The program will be held at Bartlett Village Hall, 228 S. Main Street. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for refreshments, with a 6:45 p.m. pre-program by the museum, “Sharing Your Barbie Memories.” Attendees are encouraged to bring their Barbies, reminisce and wear pink! Goddard’s presentation begins at 7 p.m.
