Arts in Bartlett is proud to present a new art exhibit, "Lofty Ideals," by artist Cherylyn Gnadt, from 5/2 to 6/30, at the Bartlett Village Hall 2nd floor gallery. The gallery is open to the public Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to noon.
Everyone is invited to the free reception to meet the artist on Tuesday, 5/17 from 6 to 7 p.m.
Cherylyn Gnadt, who works in printmaking, collage and creative writing, recently created this thoughtful collection as a way to cope and process uncertainty. It is a diverse collection of mixed media and relief prints revealing surrealistic themes and lofty ideals incorporating nature and the female figure. The exhibit’s title is a reflection of the reoccurring silver linings that appear even during dark moments. Each piece has its own unique story of domesticity, isolation, adaptability and perseverance.
The artist reception will begin at 6 p.m. with a meet and greet, light refreshments, followed by a lively artist talk by Gnadt. This lovely art exhibit is one of several events celebrating the twentieth anniversary of Arts in Bartlett.
