According to Sears, Roebuck and Co., more than 70,000 of the company’s kit homes, featuring more than 370 different home styles, were sold in
North America between 1908 and 1940. Illinois is second to Ohio in the number of Sears home kits sold by state.
Learn more about these unique homes at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, 3/22, with the Bartlett History Museum and presenter Lara Solonickne, a local expert
on Sears homes. The free in-person presentation will be at Bartlett Village Hall, 228 S. Main Street.
